Ethics, meditation and wisdom - The Survey
"Morality is, as it were, the words of that most perfect of all poems, the holy life, the language which makes intelligible the secrets of spirituality. Meditation and wisdom, the two remaining stages of the Way, are its rhythm and its imagery."
(A Survey of Buddhism)
On this retreat we will take a deeper look at sections 16-18 of the first chapter of Sangharakshita’s seminal work, A Survey of Buddhism: Its Doctrines and Methods Through the Ages. These sections explore the principles behind, and profound depths of the most fundamental elucidation of the whole path to liberation: sila (ethics), samādhi (meditation) and prajñā (wisdom).
Suitable for GFR mitras and Order Members who have studied the ‘Transcendental Principle’ retreat with us and want to take more time to study the last sections of ‘A Survey’. To be held at Tiratanaloka Ware.
