The History of my Going for Refuge - online study week

The History of my Going for Refuge - online study week

In his book The History of my Going for Refuge Sangharakshita describes his journey into understanding what is it that makes one a Buddhist and how he came to the conclusion that Going for Refuge is ‘the central and definitive act of the Buddhist life’. We invite you to study with us Sangharakhsita's exploration of what it means to Go for Refuge to the Three Jewels and how his thinking shaped the way we practice in the Order.

You can also get this text as a pdf from Sangharakshita's website and, if you wish, listen to the whole paper (4 hours!) given on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the WBO(TBO) on Free Buddhist Audio

The study week will involve daily study sessions from 10.30- 13.00 and we will also have several evening rituals you can join.
